Which Group Is Best For My Child?

We have a range of classes available for children ages 4-18 years. Find out more about each of our groups to see which classes are best for your child.

Little Stars – These weekly classes are for children aged 4-7. They include acting, singing and dancing classes to introduce children to the fun of performing arts.

Stars 1, 2 & 3 – These are our weekly acting, singing and dancing classes. Stars groups are for children aged 7-18. Children are split into school years so your children learn with similar aged children.

Lamda – Our LAMDA classes are weekly classes offered to existing Spotlights children aged 7+. These are additional group drama examinations.

Holiday Classes – Our holiday classes are week long courses with a mix of acting, singing and dancing. They are for all ages and are based around a theme such as Disney, Greatest Showman and more. At the end of the course we put on a costumed performance to the children’s family and friends.

Weekend Classes FAQs

What should my child wear to the weekend classes?

Your child should wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement, such as leggings, tracksuit bottoms, and a t-shirt. We recommend jazz shoes for dancing, but soft trainers are fine for children attending their trial sessions. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle to keep hydrated during the class!

How are the classes structured by age group?

Our classes are tailored to different age groups to ensure that your child receives age-appropriate instruction and attention. We offer classes for Little Stars (Ages 4-7), Star 1 (Ages 7-9), Star 2 (Ages 10-12), and Star 3 (Ages 13-18). Each group focuses on building skills suitable for their developmental stage, from basic coordination and rhythm to more advanced techniques in singing, dancing, and acting.

Can parents watch the classes?

While we love parent involvement, we find that children often perform best when they’re fully focused on the activities. For this reason, our classes are drop-off only. However, we host regular showcase events where parents are invited to see all the progress their children have made!
