This Star 3 performing arts class in Orpington is open to teenagers aged 13–18 from any school or location.
Each week students take part in three hours of advanced training in drama, dance and singing, helping them develop performance skills, stage confidence and creative expression in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Star 3 (Age 13–18) – Newstead Wood School, Orpington
Saturdays 10:30am – 1:30pm
Our Star 3 classes for ages 13–18 allow students to develop their performing arts skills at a more advanced level.
During each session students take part in specialist workshops including:
✨ Drama – character work, script analysis and acting techniques
✨ Dance – musical theatre choreography and performance movement
✨ Singing – vocal training, harmonies and solo performance work
Students are encouraged to explore different performance styles, develop stage presence and build confidence performing for an audience.
All classes are taught by professional performing arts coaches with experience working in theatre, television and film.
Star 3 students are encouraged to take greater creative responsibility for their work and performances.
Through weekly training they develop:
• advanced acting and storytelling skills
• stronger vocal technique and performance ability
• stage confidence and presentation skills
• collaboration and creative teamwork
These skills support students both on stage and in everyday life, helping them communicate with confidence and creativity.
Students in the Stars 1, 2 and 3 programme regularly take part in exciting performance opportunities including:
✨ end-of-term showcase performances
✨ full musical theatre productions in professional theatre venues
These projects allow students to experience the thrill of live performance and develop their stagecraft in a professional theatre environment.

Our Star 3 classes provide a supportive and encouraging environment where teenagers can explore their creativity, make new friends and develop their passion for performing arts.
Many students stay with Spotlights throughout their teenage years, gaining valuable skills in confidence, teamwork and performance.
The Spotlights Stars programme provides a pathway for young performers:
• Star 1 (ages 7–9) – introduction to performing arts
• Star 2 (ages 10–12) – developing performance skills
• Star 3 (ages 13–18) – advanced training and performance
