The Mayor of Bromley Denise Reddin lent her support to Spotlights Theatre School anti-bullying workshop at Pratts Bottom Primary on Friday 13th February and praised the original initiative. Spotlights originally offered workshops to schools across the Borough of Bromley during anti-bullying week in 2008 but the demand from schools has been so high that Spotlights have extended the offer for the workshops to any time of year.

The children are given the opportunity to come up with their own anti-bullying TV advert that is filmed and watched back during the workshop. The class teacher is left with an activity pack for follow up work after the session.

“It’s a fantastic way for children to explore this difficult issue in a safe environment. We consistently get great feedback from schools about the effectiveness of the workshop”, say Faye Willingale, Co-Director Spotlights Theatre School.
